Elinchrom Debuts New Lighting Products That Offer Remote Control Capability And Are Apple iDevice Enabled

RAMSEY, N.J., Sept. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Manfrotto Distribution, world leader in the equipment and accessories industry for photography and imaging, has announced updates to three families of Elinchrom lighting products. Aimed at making the photographer's life simpler, these updates provide complete remote control for all Elinchrom strobes, making them the only lighting manufacturer in the world to offer this capability.

Although the Skyport Remote can handle all of these tasks, many photographers require even more control. For that, Elinchrom offers an inexpensive USB RX Transceiver which allows the photographer to see and control their strobes right from their Mac or PC. Elinchrom is also the only lighting company to offer remote control of their lights with an Apple iPhone, iPad or iTouch using the Skyport WiFi module.

D-Lite RX ONE

The all new D-Lite RX ONE delivers approximately twice the light output of the strongest speedlight and is the smallest, most robust flash unit from Elinchrom. To Go Sets are available with either a softbox or umbrella option. The softbox set is ideal for use in small spaces where light control is essential to avoid unwanted reflections. The umbrella set is ideal for use in large halls and open spaces where speed of assembly is needed. This is the first remote control two-light system that will be priced under $650.

The built-in EL-Skyport transceiver provides accurate wireless flash synchronization and radio remote control. Other features include:

The D-Lite RX replaces the popular D-Lite-IT series and offers more ways of remotely controlling the lights. D-Lite RX kits enable instant use for studio photography and are ideal for small business applications, portraiture, or creativity of lighting. With only two bags, the complete studio can be easily transported and stored. The 2/2 and the 4/4 kits come with two 26" x 26" softboxes to help control the light.

BRX Basic Sets

The brand new BRX series replaces the award winning BRXi series of strobes and now offer complete RX remote control support. BRX To Go Sets include two heads, two 26" square Portalite softboxes, two Manfrotto light stands, two carry cases and a Skyport Trigger. Optional stand sets are available, and all sets come with two Portalites, which when combined with the optional deflector set, take advantage of the central shaft.

With many programmable features and the EL-Skyport remote system, the BRX delivers freedom, quality and performance for a modern workflow. Available in either 250 Ws or 500 Ws, they are perfect for portraiture, landscape, product and architectural photography.

The new Ranger Quadra Hybrid AS RX is a compact portable 400 Ws battery flash system for studio and outdoor use. Hybrid means that this unit can use and accurately display battery level for either the Lead Acid or Li-Ion battery. Quadras provide very short flash durations, fast recycle times and wireless triggering and remote options via the EL-Skyport. It is ideal for applications such as fashion, portrait, nature, medical, dental and research imaging.
