ATLANTA, April 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Encompass Digital Media, a global technology services company delivering end-to-end video playout and distribution solutions to broadcast and digital media companies, today announced that Sony Pictures Television Networks has selected its CloudVOD platform and geographically diverse Digital Network Operations Centers (DNOC) to distribute VOD assets for Sony's U.S. channels, including getTV, Cine Sony, and Sony Movie Channel to major U.S. multichannel video programming distributors (MVPD) and virtual multichannel video programming distributors (vMVPD). Powered by Microsoft Azure, Encompass' CloudVOD platform manages the nuances of processing requirements and multiple technology standards inherent in traditional and OTT VOD delivery.
