6 eggs |

1 1/2 cups milk |

1 cup all-purpose flour |

3 tbsp. sugar |

1/2 tsp. salt |

1/3 cup butter |
|

2 Grapples, peeled and sliced |

|

3 tbsp. brown sugar |
|
|

1/2 tsp cinnamon |
|
|

1/4 tsp nutmeg |

Juice of 1/2 lemon |

Powdered sugar for serving |

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. |

In a blender, mix eggs, milk, flour, sugar, and salt. Put butter in baking dish and place |
|

dish in oven until butter is melted. Mix Grapple slices with cinnamon, nutmeg, brown |
|
|
|
sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Add Grapple slices to baking dish and leave in oven |
|
|
|
until butter sizzles. This can take about 5 minutes. Do not let apples brown. Remove |
|
|
|
baking dish from oven and pour batter over Grapples. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Return |
|
|
|
to oven and bake 20 minutes or until browned. Serve immediately. |

4 medium unpeeled Grapples, cored but left whole |
|
|
|
1/4 cup peanut butter |
|
|
|
1-1/2 teaspoons honey |
|
|
|
1/3 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips |
|
|
|
2 tablespoons dried cranberries |
|
|
|

In a small bowl, combine peanut butter and honey; fold in chocolate chips and cranberries and mix well. |
