Enter the Columbus 60 Strong Calendar Contest to Celebrate Life After 60!
Deadline is August 28 to Nominate an Inspirational Senior
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- You, or someone you know, could be featured in the 2018 Columbus 60 Strong calendar! Twelve central Ohio residents between the ages of 60 and 69 will be highlighted in a month of an exclusive 2018 calendar that highlights central Ohio events, entertainment and activities, and serves as a roadmap to good health. A panel of celebrity judges will select 12 winners who exemplify how life after sixty can be a positive, vibrant and active time. In addition to appearing in the Columbus 60 Strong calendar, winners will receive "celebrity treatment," with a professional photo shoot and be compensated at least $500 for their time.
Columbus residents can nominate friends and family between ages 60 and 69 who have achieved remarkable levels of fitness or are passionately fighting chronic conditions. Other candidates might be inspirational to others because they pursued a new hobby or devoted their life to helping others.
Applications will be accepted online at ColumbusSixtyStrong.com (by September 1) or can be sent by mail to: 60 Strong Contest, COPC Corporate Office, 570 Polaris Parkway, Suite 250, Westerville, Ohio, 43082 (by August 28). Paper applications will be available at any Central Ohio Primary Care clinic location or can be downloaded at ColumbusSixtyStrong.com. Nominators will fill out an application, including a 200-word essay about their candidate, and submit a headshot and full-length photo of the candidate. Those who nominate a winning candidate will also be winners! They will receive gift cards to Columbus-area establishments.

Columbus 60 Strong is a public service program sponsored by Central Ohio Primary Care (COPC) to help central Ohio residents in their sixties maintain their best level of health and well-being as they navigate the complexities of Medicare coverage and other senior healthcare decisions. The calendar will include important timeline information regarding Medicare signup deadlines.
