Enterasys offering its channel partners greater public sector opportunity with immixGroup

Jun 27, 2012, 08:00 ET from Enterasys Networks

ANDOVER, Mass., June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications Company, today announced its partnership with immixGroup, reinforcing its commitment to the public sector. immixGroup enables technology companies to easily conduct business with the federal government, and will provide distribution services to Enterasys and its channel of public sector resellers and solution providers. A holder of key GSA contracts, immixGroup will help Enterasys strengthen its public sector channel through a variety of market development activities including proactive lead generation campaigns targeting the government market, unique events and programs for partner enablement and recruitment, as well as in-depth federal market intelligence and analysis.

"We look forward to working with Enterasys and its channel partners to help them grow and manage their federal business and better serve their government customers," said Skip Liesegang, Government Channels Division, immixGroup.

Enterasys provides a rich set of networking solutions that allow federal government agencies to meet not only today's needs, but also to be prepared for future demands. Enterasys OneFabric is one network environment delivering one network experience to users, regardless of how they connect to the network. With Enterasys OneFabric, agencies are able to consolidate their wired and wireless edge, distribution and core networks, and their data centers into one centrally managed fabric for increased network visibility, security and reliability, and provide better mission-critical application performance.

With the proliferation of the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) trend, public sector agencies have been tasked with examining their policies and systems to accommodate this trend. Enterasys Mobile IAM(Mobile Identity and Access Manager) is a BYOD network solution, and is a key component of the OneFabric Security architecture. Designed to be implemented with no additional IT staffing, the Mobile IAM appliance provides public sector agencies with complete control and visibility into their BYOD environments for just $8 per device.

"We are excited about the opportunity to partner with immixGroup to deliver our solutions to the public sector market," said Charlie Van Pelt, Director of North American Channels at Enterasys Networks. "The federal government has found that both its employees and constituents want more open means of communication. Through Enterasys' OneFabric Security architecture, particularly Mobile IAM, immixGroup will help us ensure that our customers and partners are able to deliver relevant solutions that help the government manage and protect its data to better serve and provide simplicity and flexibility to employees and constituents across the U.S."
