Entertainment Industry Vet Jeanine Kay Appointed to Shine Global's Board of Governors

LOS ANGELES, March 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Shine Global announced today that Jeanine Kay, entertainment industry veteran and wellness industry entrepreneur, joined its Board of Governors.  Jeanine's involvement will include fundraising and awareness campaigns for Shine Global's projects.  Kay is also a founder and remains an investor in OMG Blends, a unique alternative to the popular juice cleanse.

Kay began her career in local radio and rose to oversee a multi sales division for CBS Radio, known as CBS Promotions Group.  In 2000, Kay joined MTV where her career flourished on the new business team.  Kay joined Spike TV in 2006 where she worked as the Director of New Business until her son was born in 2007.  It was this life changing moment when her career path took a new turn.

After reading statistics on the epidemic of childhood obesity, Kay devoted herself to the education of parents and children on the importance of being physically active.  In 2009, she co-created "Zip Zip  Zippy," an animated series that was picked up by HIT Entertainment, the company behind "Bob the Builder", "Barney" and more. Kay also used her financial acumen to help raise money to better the lives of at risk children, organizing numerous fund raising events to secure money for families in need.

In 2013, Kay and her business partners launched OMG Blends (omgblends.com).  Sold in retail stores and farmers markets throughout the Los Angeles area, OMG Blends are organic meal replacement drinks.  Kay remains an investor in the company and is 100% committed to the brand she built.
