Entertainment One Family Expands Its Digital Reach With The Launch Of "Peppa Pig Happy Mrs. Chicken" App In The US

NEW YORK, Jan. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, preschoolers can enjoy playtime with their favorite little piggy on-the-go, thanks to the launch of a new digital app based on the animated hit television series, Peppa Pig.

As Peppa Pig continues to grow in popularity across the US, Entertainment One Family announced today the expansion of its digital presence with the launch of "Peppa Pig Happy Mrs. Chicken," the first ever Peppa Pig US app, developed by leading interactive publisher P2 Games.  In addition to the Peppa Pig website (www.peppapig.com) and Facebook page (Facebook/OfficialPeppaPigUS), fans of the show can now interact with Peppa and friends from the convenience of a mobile device.

Inspired by some of Peppa's favorite games, "Peppa Pig Happy Mrs. Chicken" features the television show's familiar music, exciting sound effects and six interactive activities to delight and entertain fans age 2-6.  The app is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Nokia E7, N8, C7 and C6-01 devices and Android operating system 2.1 and above and is available at iTunes for $2.99.

Designed just for preschoolers, "Peppa Pig Happy Mrs. Chicken" supports the development of counting, creative thinking and hand-eye coordination.  Touch screen interaction, intuitive game play and audio instructions from TV series narrator will allow children to enjoy the app independently and with ease.

Happy Mrs. Chicken game:  Help Happy Mrs. Chicken lay eggs and watch as they hatch into baby chicks and scurry around the farm

Chicken Coop game:  Send baby chicks to the coop by matching different colored chickens with their correctly colored homes in a race against the clock

Seed and Maze:  Leave a seed trail to guide chicks home through a series of six unique mazes

Muddy Puddles game: Play as Peppa or her brother George against an animal friend.  Be the first to jump in the most muddy puddles to win!

Jigsaw Puzzles:  Solve four jigsaw puzzles in six, nine or twelve pieces

Sticker Book bonus activity:  Collect virtual stickers as you play and decorate a "sticker book" with an assortment of items and characters from Peppa's world

In addition to Peppa and George, the app features Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Suzy Sheep and Rebecca Rabbit.
