Entrust, an SSL Digital Certificate and Services Leader, to Re-Join CA/Browser Forum

DALLAS, Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Entrust today announced that they have re-joined the CA/Browser Forum, a leading group of certification authorities and browser software vendors. The group, which Entrust formerly chaired for nearly seven years, is committed to providing greater assurance to Internet users by leveraging the capabilities of SSL certificates.

Entrust first began its dedication to SSL standards and practices in 1999 and became the first CA to earn the WebTrust CA Seal of Assurance in 2001. Awarded by Deloitte & Touche, this qualification complies with the WebTrust standards for issuing and managing digital certificates established by both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA).
