Epic Health Services Enters Massachusetts Market with AmeriCare Acquisition

DALLAS, Dec. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Epic Health Services, Inc., a leading provider of pediatric and adult home health care, announced yesterday that it has acquired AmeriCare, a Medicare-certified home health agency with three locations in the greater Boston area.

The AmeriCare acquisition provides Epic with three new service lines: home nursing for clients with psychiatric and other behavioral issues, private-pay personal care for older adults, as well as nursing and aide services for other elderly and disabled clients.

Beyond continuing to provide AmeriCare's strong core of services, Epic is expected to launch its pediatric therapy and private duty nursing services in Massachusetts.  Furthermore, Epic will look to expand throughout Massachusetts while also expanding AmeriCare's behavioral health service line into other states.

For the immediate future, AmeriCare will continue to operate under the AmeriCare name.
