Ernst & Young LLP to Present and Exhibit at the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Annual Global Conference

WHAT: 

Ernst & Young LLP will present and exhibit at this year's CSCMP Global Conference, an international forum attended by the world's most successful supply chain leaders, being held from September 30 to October 3, 2012, in Atlanta, Georgia. Ernst & Young LLP professionals will be on-site to discuss some of the most critical challenges facing today's Supply Chain and Operations personnel, including:

• The importance of new technologies in creating a lean and agile supply chain

• The integration of tax and operations strategies to unlock and maximize business value

• How to address mounting pressures to optimize and sustain performance

• Leveraging over spend optimization and savings

• Understanding holistic procurement and supplier risk

• The trends and changes occurring in our operations environment

Ernst & Young LLP will deliver three presentations on October 1 that will dive deeper into these topics using tangible client examples. These sessions include:

• Supply Chain of the Future – at 1:00 p.m. EDT, Ernst & Young LLP's supply chain leaders, together with representatives of SAP™, will host a panel discussion on how companies are leveraging cloud technologies, collaborative knowledge culture, social networks and real-time content to challenge today's supply chain business models for strategies around sales and operations planning and sourcing.

• The Tax Effective Supply Chain – at 4:45 p.m. EDT, Ernst & Young LLP's Aaron Pernat and Peter Anderson will explore how the integration of tax and operations planning from the onset enables alignment of the tax and business strategies to manage inherent risk and unlock new potential.

• Ernst & Young LLP will also co-present the results and insights from the 2012 Logistics and Transportation Survey at a panel session at 3:30 p.m. EDT. This session will feature a discussion on the tools and methods used to manage transportation and distribution, the costs of logistics and transportation and the issues pertaining to domestic and global visibility.
