Esurance Announces Sixth Year Of Sponsorship For Sasquatch! Music Festival And "Sasquatch in Style" Sweepstakes

SAN FRANCISCO, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Esurance, the direct-to-consumer personal car insurance company, has announced that it will be the presenting sponsor of Sasquatch! Music Festival 2012, May 25-28.

The "Sasquatch in Style" sweepstakes has just launched, offering one lucky winner the chance to win tickets, cash, space on the Esurance shuttle, and a fully stocked campsite simply by "liking" Esurance on Facebook and then entering the sweeps.

This is the sixth year in a row that Esurance has sponsored this important music festival, which has taken place every Memorial Day weekend since 2002 at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington.     

As a green sponsor of Sasquatch! since 2007, Esurance also has a history of helping make this a planet-friendly festival. Over the past two years, Sasquatch! festival goers have logged 188,593 miles in 576 rides via Esurance's partnership with Zimride, the carpooling community website.

Following up the success of these carpooling initiatives, eco-conscious Esurance will provide this year's concert participants with shuttle services from four locations: Seattle; Sea-Tac International Airport; Vancouver, BC; and Ellensburg, Washington. This will reduce emissions and traffic congestion for those traveling to the remote venue.

By simply "liking" Esurance and then entering the sweepstakes on Facebook from now until May 15, eligible individuals can enter the "Sasquatch in Style" sweepstakes.  One winner, chosen at random, will receive four VIP supertickets, four shuttle passes, $1,000 in spending cash and the sweetest Sasquatch campsite in recorded history, including a tent, sleeping bags, picnic table, cooler, seating, lighting, food staples, hula hoops, wading pool, iPod speakers, disco ball, and more!

These selections maintain the tradition of presenting critically acclaimed emerging artists alongside established headliners.

Previous lineups have spanned a broad spectrum of genres from rock to hip-hop, electronic to alternative. Past performers include Foo Fighters, R.E.M., Coldplay, Kanye West, Pavement, Beastie Boys, Nine Inch Nails, Wilco, The Flaming Lips, The Cure, Bjork, and M.I.A. This year's lineup includes Jack White, Bon Iver, Beck, Tenacious D, The Shins, and more. The festival also has a history of incorporating comedy, including performances by Flight of the Conchords, Zach Galifianakis, and Sarah Silverman. This year acts like Portlandia, Bon Iver, The Shins, and Howard Kremer will continue this tradition.
