Esurance Holding Twitter Sweepstakes For Bite Of Seattle

SAN FRANCISCO, July 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Esurance, the direct-to-consumer insurance company, is holding a unique sweepstakes on Twitter as part of its Bite of Seattle sponsorship this weekend.

The Tweet What You Eat Sweepstakes* encourages festival-goers to celebrate Seattle cuisine and share photos of their favorite food at the Bite. To enter the sweeps, attendees are asked to tweet their favorite dishes from the Bite and include either @esurance or #tweetwhatyoueat.

Everyone who tweets is eligible to pick up a prize at the Esurance booth near the Fountain Lawn Stage.** There are also two random drawings each day for prizes ranging from a Chocolate Indulgence Food Tour for four to gift cards from Sur La Table, RN74, Dean & DeLuca, and more. The sweepstakes grand prize is a private food tour for 12 people in Seattle. 

Attendees are encouraged to include the restaurant or food vendor's official name or Twitter handle in their tweet to help their favorite vendor win a $4,000 cash prize at the end of the weekend. The restaurant with the most tweets will win the cash, which will allow them to offset their costs.

Green Efforts
This year, Bite of Seattle guests will notice an increased effort to eliminate food waste through event-wide recycling and composting. To help reduce the event's carbon footprint and further educate the public on ways to do the same, producers of the Bite have teamed with Esurance to inform attendees on proper food waste disposal and recycling in a big way. Esurance is helping provide 10 sorting stations around the festival grounds.
