SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Esurance, the direct-to-consumer insurance company, is now offering free roadside assistance1 as an optional service for customers who have comprehensive and collision coverage for vehicles on their policy.
"We believe our customers should feel fully protected while on the road, that's why we're offering them reliable roadside assistance without additional costs," said Eric Madia, auto products vice president at Esurance. "Our roadside service representatives are available 24/7 whether your battery died, you have a flat tire, or you locked your keys in the car. They'll ensure our customers receive immediate help to get them back on the road again."
As part of free roadside assistance, Esurance is introducing a modern way for stranded motorists to stay connected, giving them added confidence when they need it most. While they're waiting for help to arrive, Esurance customers can receive detailed status updates on their smartphone, letting them know when the tow truck is en route, who the driver is, their phone number, and its estimated time of arrival. Additionally, GPS-enabled tow trucks will appear on a map view as they make their way to the vehicle.
Esurance free roadside assistance is currently available in Kansas, Minnesota, and Missouri for the following services:
