Euro RSCG Life Worldwide Managing Partner Donna Murphy Named One of the Most Influential Women of 2010
The Irish Voice Honors Ad Agency Exec Murphy for Her Leadership Role
NEW YORK, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Donna Murphy, Worldwide Managing Partner of global communications network Euro RSCG Life Worldwide, has been recognized as one of the Most Influential Women of 2010. The Irish Voice, celebrating its third annual list of honorees, applauds the most important Irish-American women across politics, the arts and all business sectors. The awards reception, held at the Consulate of Ireland, will be attended this year by Brian Cowen, Ireland's Prime Minister.
Murphy, Euro RSCG Life Worldwide Managing Partner since 2007 and fourth generation Irish American, joined the Euro RSCG network in 1987. She and her partner, Doug Burcin, are responsible for the Euro RSCG Life Global network, which consists of 60 offices, with 2,000 employees worldwide; it was named Network of the Year for 2010 by Medical Marketing and Media and Healthcare Agency of the Year by Adweek (the first time an agency has won both honors in one year). Parent company Euro RSCG Worldwide named Murphy and Burcin its 2010 Management Team of the Year and designated Euro RSCG Life as its 2010 Agency of the Year.
"Donna has been one of the most influential women at ERWW for more than two decades," says David Jones, CEO of Euro RSCG Worldwide and its parent company, Havas Worldwide. "And this has been a banner year for her, so it's only fitting that she has been included by The Irish Voice on its roll call of the Most Influential Women of 2010."
Murphy earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Pace University and is a member of HBA (Healthcare Businesswomen's Association). She played a key role in the growth of Euro RSCG Life Worldwide's global network, launching the startup of all specialized services (Public Relations, Medical Education, Interactive, Managed Care Consulting and Sales Training) as well as overseeing and integrating the major acquisitions.
Murphy's Irish roots can be traced back to County Roscommon on her mother's side, and she lives in Connecticut with her husband, Jim (also Irish American, and a Friendly Son of St. Patrick), and their two children, Taryn and Jimmy, along with their English Springer spaniels, Kerry and Mulligan.
The Irish Voice, a newspaper founded by Niall O'Dowd, has long been a leading voice in the Irish-American community.
