KBR, Inc. Analyst Notes
On June 5, 2014, KBR, Inc. (KBR) announced that it was awarded a full notice to proceed (FNTP) contract from Interstate Power and Light Company, Alliant Energy's Iowa utility subsidiary, for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a new nominal 650-megawatt, combined-cycle, natural gas-fueled generating station in Marshalltown, Iowa. According to the Company, the new generating station will have two combustion turbines, two heat recovery steam generators, and one steam turbine, commonly known as a 2x1 combined-cycle configuration. According to KBR, revenue from the contract will be booked in the Q2 2014 backlog of unfilled orders for the Infrastructure, Government, and Power segment.
