Evolving the Client Experience: SOLE Financial Promotes Chelsea Thornton to VP of Sales

PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SOLE Financial has promoted Chelsea Thornton to vice president of sales to refine and execute the strategic plan to grow SOLE's cardholder base and encourage existing clients to reach 100 percent direct deposit while elevating standards across the board. Thornton will be responsible for guiding SOLE's sales strategy and the success of SOLE's sales and client services teams.

With Thornton's promotion, SOLE's executive leadership saw an opportunity to bring all client-facing teams under one strong leader to evolve SOLE's approach to the client experience. Thornton will be overseeing both the sales and customer success teams. Thornton's first step in bringing these two teams together under her leadership was a team-wide viewing of Simon Sinek's famous "Start With Why" video to encourage each team to start every client conversation by focusing on what motivates each individual client the most.

Thornton brings with her 10 years of sales and management experience, eight of which have been with SOLE. Thornton began her tenure at SOLE as a business development manager and quickly rose to leadership positions. Prior to this promotion, she held the titles of sales manager and director of sales. Chelsea holds bachelor's degrees in communication and Spanish from the University of Portland, where she graduated cum laude as a Division 1 athlete and member of multiple honors societies.
