Ex-Fluor Veteran Joins Ellipse Global Senior Management Team

SEATTLE, Feb. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Ellipse Global, one of North America's largest integrated providers of incident response services, has tapped the oil and gas industry talent pipeline for its latest senior executive hire. Chris Devela, a 16-year veteran of Fluor Corporation, has been named Chief Operations Officer at Ellipse.

Mr. Devela's management responsibilities include the company's newly opened Ellipse Global Lodge and Quahada RV Park, located near Carlsbad, New Mexico. The 87-acre workforce housing development, which includes a full-service lodge facility as well as 118 spaces for RVs, provides additional capacity for oil and gas companies struggling to find high-quality accommodations for their Permian Basin workforce. The development is located 7 miles east of Carlsbad, off Hobbs Highway at 26 Quahada Road, (County Road 603).

Mr. Devela will also oversee day-to-day operations of the company's wildland firefighting crews, mobile base camp and catering operations and all supporting functions. At Fluor, Mr. Devela most recently served as Director of Supply Chain Operations and was responsible for a $16 billion budget in support of Fluor's global operations, with a particular focus on the company's oil & gas company clients.

Mr. Devela's professional credentials include Project Management Professional (PMP) and Project Definition Rating Index Certifications as well as a Basic Plus Safety Certification from the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils.  He graduated from Washington State University, where he earned a BA in Business Administration, Information Systems.
