Excitement Abounds As The Children's Center Announces A Change Of Venue For The 2013 AutoGlow

-- The Children's Center's AutoGlow is set for Friday, January 18, 2013 at Ford Field, following the North American International Auto Show Charity Preview.

-- Ford Motor Company returns as the presenting sponsor of AutoGlow, building upon more than 80 years of support for The Children's Center.  

-- The Children's Center partnered with the College for Creative Studies for the 2nd Annual AutoGlow Design Challenge, in which a team of CCS Interior Design students worked to create a unique theme for the event. 

DETROIT, June 22, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Children's Center announces the return of AutoGlow to Ford Field in 2013.  The event plans to be an exciting evening, having had great success at Ford Field for past AutoGlow events, in 2006 and 2008.  Ford Field's unique design incorporates 1920's architecture, including aspects of the old Hudson's warehouse, adding allure to one of most attractive football stadiums in the United States.  These elements of Detroit's history perfectly complement The Children's Center, whose roots are deeply planted within the community, having served youth and families in Detroit for over 80 years.

Lisa and Bill Ford are pleased to return as co-hosts for AutoGlow, which will take place on January 18.  A pre-reception will be held starting at 4:30 p.m. with the main event starting at 8:00 p.m.

The 2012 AutoGlow was a monumental success, generating $242,000 net for The Children's Center. The move to Ford Field for 2013 will provide sponsors and guests with increased seating capacities.  In addition, reserved seating will be available with sponsorships of $25,000 and above.

Preliminary planning for the 2013 AutoGlow began with the 2nd Annual AutoGlow Design Challenge.  A team of Interior Design students from the College for Creative Studies were challenged with the task of crafting a theme for next year's event. 

Inspired by the work of The Children's Center, the students developed a number of unique and elegant design themes which they presented to a judging panel of key business, advertising and graphic design leaders.  The event theme will be announced in the fall of 2012.
