Executive Coach Karen Carmody Provides Mentoring at CWE's 9th Annual Women Business Leaders Conference

BOSTON, Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Executive Coach, Karen Carmody, President of Chrysalis Coaching & Consulting LLC, served as a mentor at CWE's 9^th Annual Women Business Leaders Conference. The conference is the premier educational and networking event for women business leaders in New England. The two-day conference was held at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. This year's theme was "Paths to Possibilities."

The conference featured a unique speed-mentoring session. Modeled after the American City Business Journal's company-wide Mentoring Mondays, this exciting new session provided attendees the opportunity to have one-on-one mentoring with some of the most powerful business leaders in New England.

"Mentoring is one of my passions. As a mentor, I get as much out of the experience as the mentees," said Carmody. "I am grateful to my mentors and an avid proponent of paying it back and paying it forward. I believe it's especially important for women to mentor other women."

Helen Greiner, Founder of iRobot, Robin Chase, Co-Founder of Zipcar, and Joanna Meiselse, Founder of Snip-its, delivered the keynote speeches. The keynote speakers shared lessons learned from launching and leading their highly successful and well-known businesses.

During the Awards Luncheon, CWE recognized business and community leaders for their achievements in promoting and furthering the success of New England women in business. Awards were presented to women business leaders, corporate partners, and individual volunteers who help remove barriers and empower women to grow professionally and personally.

In addition to her responsibilities as President of Chrysalis Coaching & Consulting, Carmody is the Vice President, Education & Professional Development on the International Coach Federation of New England (ICFNE) Board of Directors and serves on the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development Committee.  She is also a coach for Babson College's Coaching for Leadership & Teamwork Program, a Developmental Learning Partner for Babson College's Managing Talent Program, and a mentor for the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association Mentoring Program.
