Over an intensive four-hour presentation, The Advanced Workshop on Monte Carlo Simulations will tackle how to properly utilize this powerful statistical method for a variety of valuation purposes. Two in-depth case studies will show how to apply the method when valuing warrants whose underlying assets are common stock or enterprise value and when valuing a business opportunity for a buyout/restructuring or in an IPR&D project. Dufendach and Heng will also answer attendee questions throughout the interactive course.
"In the ongoing search for simple, easy-to-explain valuation methods, many appraisers have given wide berth to Monte Carlo simulations, fearing their perceived complexity," said Blake Lyman, Professional Program Manager at BVR. "We are thrilled to host two of the most experienced voices in business appraisal to shed light on this long-neglected and overlooked model. Dave and Randy have a long history of successfully implementing Monte Carlo simulations for a variety of purposes, and their experience will be of great value to anyone looking to step up their game."
Workshop attendees will walk away with an understanding of:
How and when to use Monte Carlo simulations

How to apply Monte Carlo simulations when valuing business opportunities under a variety of circumstances
The best uses and applications of Monte Carlo simulations as well as how they can be utilized for your current projects
