SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- As the economy recovers and America adapts to a changing workforce, Express Employment Professionals, one of the nation's largest privately-held staffing companies, hosts the International Leadership Conference (ILC) at the Marriott San Antonio Rivercenter in San Antonio on Wednesday, Feb. 22 through Saturday, Feb. 25.

"Our annual conference gives us an opportunity to bring some of the sharpest minds in the country together under one roof to share knowledge on today's issues such as unemployment, staffing, the economy, and small business lending," said Robert A. Funk, CEO and chairman of the board for Express. "By coming together to share information, we're better equipped to put people back to work and provide hope for job seekers."

Featuring an extensive list of guest speakers, the event will serve as an educational seminar for Express' more than 550 franchise owners around the world and pay homage to the company's record-breaking year in business.

In addition to Funk, who will share his expertise about the state of the economy and how it's affecting the job market, other notable experts slated to speak include former governor of Oklahoma and president and CEO of the American Bankers Association Frank Keating, franchise industry veteran Brian Miller, and Steven S. Little, a senior business consultant for Inc. magazine.

In 2011, Express helped more than 335,000 workers in the U.S. and Canada find jobs and topped $2.1 billion in temporary sales, up 22 percent from 2010.

"The success we achieved last year proves that employers are relying heavily on flexible staffing solutions in an uncertain economy," Funk said. "Not only did we put a record number of people to work last year, but we also posted the strongest sales record to date."

The future continues to look bright for Express. The staffing company anticipates growth to top 18 percent for the year and plans to award 64 new franchise locations in the U.S., Canada and South Africa.
