Express Employment Professionals Sets All-Time Sales Record

OKLAHOMA CITY, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The international headquarters of Express Employment Professionals, a division of Express Services, Inc. and one of the world's largest staffing companies with nearly 600 locations, announced today it set an all-time record for one-week sales volume, June 21-27, 2010 by generating more than $29 million in sales. This breaks the former one-week record from October 15-21, 2007 by $600,000.

"Since the beginning of 2010, Express franchise offices have helped more people find jobs (163,000) compared to 2009 (128,000) year to date," said Robert A. Funk, Express founder and chief executive officer. "Our growth is a direct result of putting 20,718 new people to work in the month of May alone."

From mid-May to mid-June, Express received more than 4,000 new job orders with top openings in the following fields: commercial, administrative, professional, sales and marketing, and engineering.

The company also announced sales over the last 10 weeks are up an average of 59% compared to the same 10-week period in 2009. Overall to date, sales are up 40%. Historically, the highest sales volume week for Express occurs in the fall.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 41,000 jobs were created in the private sector in May.
