PORTSMOUTH, Va., March 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Fairlead, a leading provider of advanced maritime systems integration and mission module solutions, today announced a strategic partnership and formal teaming agreement with Firehawk Aerospace, a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced energetic materials for defense applications. This collaboration aims to deliver next-generation, containerized mission solutions to support the evolving force readiness and sustainment needs of the U.S. military and allied forces at the tactical edge.
"As the Department of Defense accelerates the shift toward modular, adaptable, and forward-deployed capabilities, Fairlead is proud to partner with Firehawk Aerospace to bring innovative, mission-ready solutions to the warfighter," said Hal Barge, VP & GM of Fairlead Systems. "By combining Fairlead's proven agility and expertise of designing, engineering, producing, and sustaining containerized mission modules with Firehawk's cutting-edge energetics systems, we are redefining the future of distributed lethality and expeditionary support."
Fairlead's containerized mission modules (CMM), which currently support command and control, power distribution, and electronic warfare applications, will now be adapted to house Firehawk's advanced energetics systems. Combined, they will provide scalable options for shipboard, shore-based, and autonomous operations, supporting missions ranging from force and power projection to long-range strike, deterrence, and expeditionary warfare across multiple domains, including contested environments.
"This partnership creates a powerful synergy between Firehawk's rapid, safe, and cost-effective energetics production methods and Fairlead's battlefield-proven modular platforms," said Michael Stark, President of Firehawk Aerospace. "Together we're enabling edge manufacturing of munitions from on-demand battlefield manufacturing to global production for a more efficient and effective logistics posture."
Fairlead's CMM solutions are currently in service across a range of U.S. government agencies, supporting critical operations for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and other federal partners. Firehawk recently secured Phase II contract awards from AFWERX, the innovation arm of the Department of the Air Force, and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to advance its development of next-generation energetics systems for critical national defense applications.
