LAS VEGAS, April 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NAB Show -- Fantag, a pioneer in mobile video technology, announced today that it is teaming with Telestream to deliver a new and innovative video experience for sports fans in the U.S. The joint technology solution will integrate Fantag's patent-approved platform with Wirecast, Telestream's industry-leading live production and streaming software. Together, the solution enables fans to instantly capture, replay, and share their favorite moments from multiple angles with a simple tap on their mobile phones. The platform will be piloted through a collaboration being mutually explored with Sacramento Republic FC, one of the most successful professional soccer organizations in the Division 2 United Soccer League.
This partnership with Telestream -- the first for Fantag since its company launch three months ago in Sacramento -- will be the first in a series of implementations to jointly deliver the Fantag experience at pro and high school games. The two companies made the announcement today in Las Vegas at the NAB Show, a major annual event for the media industry hosted by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).
"We're excited to be working with industry leader such as Telestream, and to be supported by a fellow Sacramento homegrown organization such as Republic FC to deliver our technology to the best fans in the world," said Fantag CEO Brian Dombrowski. "We both understand the modern day sports fan, and we are committed to enhance the fan's experience at live events through customized instant video."
"Fantag is an exciting new technology that will provide a more comprehensive sports enthusiast experience. It's easy to envision the tremendous world wide appeal for the Fantag technology and Telestream is pleased to be a partner," said Scott Murray, VP of Corporate Marketing and Desktop Products from Telestream.
"As an organization and brand rooted in Sacramento, we are honored to support Fantag's efforts to build a cutting edge technology that enhances our fans' experience," said Republic FC Co-founder and President Warren Smith. "The collaborative, yet competitive spirit of our business community, gives rise to opportunities such as this in which we can support another homegrown company in its efforts to develop products that will ultimately lead to jobs and investments in our region. The technology is literally a 'game-changer', and we are ready to bring it to our matches."
