CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- With the introduction of two new tractors, the GTH27V48LS Garden Tractor and YTH24V54XLS Yard Tractor, Husqvarna brings components that were previously only available on commercial tractors to homeowners.

The YTH24V54XLS has a 24 HP, 726cc Kawasaki FR Series engine to power through almost any cutting condition and provides enough muscle for the wide range of available accessories to make it more than just a mower. This tractor can handle a number of unforeseen obstacles with the industry's only 54" ventilated reinforced stamped cutting deck with four anti-scalp wheels and a new front skid plate that protects the muffler while keeping heat away from the grass. Additionally, new side plates have been added to keep electrical components from added exposure to the elements.

The pedal-operated hydrostatic transmission with locking differential helps increase traction when cutting on uneven terrain. Armed with electric blade engagement, six cutting height stops that range from 1 to 4 inches and air induction for increased cutting performance, a customized cut is easily achieved. For easier clean-up, the deck has a wash port that connects directly to the hose.

As the only consumer tractor with a 48" fabricated cutting deck and four anti-scalp wheels, the GTH27V48LS is loaded with numerous amenities to make any task easier and more comfortable.

The 27 HP, 724cc Briggs & Stratton Endurance engine with a hydrostatic transmission offers speeds up to 8 mph, making it one of the fastest consumer garden tractors available. The GTH27V48LS is equipped with a cast iron front axle for additional durability.

With electric blade engagement, ergonomic steering wheel, step-through for easy mounting, cruise control and cup holder, the GTH27V48LS is a pleasure, not a chore.

What makes it a true garden tractor is its ability to work with ground-engaging attachments such as a plow, harrows, and cultivators. Also uses attachments like the core aerator or mulch kit for effective lawn fertilization, making it a year round tool for larger land owners.

All LS and XLS tractors will have a new design for 2011. Sporting a new hood and enclosed engine compartment, these new tractors offer a much cleaner look.
