Fawn Lopez Receives First Gertrude Crain Award

CHICAGO, March 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Modern Healthcare, a Crain Communications Inc. media brand, is proud to announce their Publisher, Fawn Lopez, will be honored with ABM's, the Association of Business Information & Media Companies of SIIA, first-ever Gertrude Crain Award on March 27, 2015 in New York, New York. 

The Gertrude Crain Award recognizes a woman within the B2B Media & Information Industry who embodies the SIIA Women's Leadership and Networking Council's Mission of excellence, service and success. The Award is named after Gertrude R. Crain, a successful and highly regarded B2B executive, whose career achievements serve as a role model for female executives across generations.  Gertrude Crain also served as chair of Crain Communications Inc. and ran the company, founded by her husband G.D. Crain Jr., after his death in 1973 until her own death in 1996. 

Fawn Lopez is Publisher and Vice President of Modern Healthcare, a position she has held since February 2005. She came to Modern Healthcare as associate publisher in October, 2001 after serving over two years at one of its sister publications, Crain's Chicago Business.
