SKOKIE, Ill., Aug. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Have you ever wished for the ability to color one of your own photos? This dream is now a reality thanks to the newest product line from Fibre-Craft®, a leader in creative activities. The DabitZ™ series merges innovative technology with artistic spirit to take classic coloring to new heights.
"DabitZ works to inspire individuality and provide an exciting new technique to transform photos into photomosaic works of art for all ages," said Stephanie Leichtweis, CEO of Fibre-Craft. "The DabitZ collection was inspired by the Impressionism movement and the painting technique called Pointillism, though users don't need to be talented artists to dab it up."
DabitZ is designed for two levels of artistry – Learner and Master. Each level starter set provides custom Dab Desks™ and Dabbers™ to accommodate the needs of each artist. All starter sets and complementary color packs encourage all ages to try new techniques, and come back for more!
- Learner – At this beginning level of "dabbing," individuals are able to create a masterpiece. With easy-to-follow instructions, the Learner allows for self-expression and easier coordination. Starter Dab Desk sets at this level come with 12 Dabbers, five DabDesignZ™ pre-printed templates and 10 vellum sheets, or choose the Learner Dab Desktop™ starter set which comes with 10 Dabbers, five DabDesignZ and 10 vellum sheets.
- Master – At the master level, artists create a highly detailed photo using mosaic art. With the ultimate ability in personalization, inspire photographic creativity and mastery of an art form all in one. The starter set includes 24 Dabbers, 15 DabDesignZ and 20 vellum sheets. The Master Level will be available in 2018.
Each DabitZ set includes an access code and a Quick Start Guide for the accompanying DabitZ app. To use, simply enter product code to add colors to your personal palette and choose a photo to import. Next, artists can select a canvas size (from 8" x 10", 5" x 7" or 4" x 6"), choose to modify their photo as desired with several options (orientation of image, erase areas, adjust color tones) before converting their personal image into a pixelated template. All that's left is to print it for endless artistry and imagination with dabbing!
"We want our DabitZ community to be filled with innovators who are excited about this unlimited potential for artistry," said Leichtweis. "With DabitZ, we are launching a new sphere of integrated play – that both connects you to technology and takes your creative activities offline."
The Dab Desk has enough storage for all 48 dabbers available, and uses magnets to hold the vellum sheets in place, making it easy to take the desk with you for on-the-go creativity. Dabbers™ will come in two sizes based on the levels of artistry: 5mm and 3mm for Learner and Master respectively. Dabber sets with complementary colors are available for purchase with additional DabDesignZ to provide ample expression for all levels of artistry. Trendy templates included in starter sets and separate packs include: sweet treats, tropical oasis, fashion, fantasy, animals and people.
DabitZ Learner level will be available later this summer in retail stores nationwide. To learn more visit DabitZArt.com.
