Finalists Named for the AFP 2026 Pinnacle Awards: Bandwidth, Google, ServiceNow

ROCKVILLE, Md., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Association for Financial Professionals named Bandwidth, Google and ServiceNow as finalists for the AFP 2026 Pinnacle Awards, sponsored by Truist.

The AFP Pinnacle Awards recognize excellence in treasury and finance. A panel of treasury and finance professionals selected the finalists based on their forward-looking solutions that drive operational efficiency and effectiveness. Notably, all three finalists developed AI-enabled solutions, highlighting the growing role of AI in helping treasury teams automate workflows and make more informed financial decisions.

Voting is currently open until Sept. 18, 2026, to select the Grand Prize winner. The winner will be announced during AFP 2026, taking place November 8-11 in Las Vegas. Truist will make a $10,000 donation to The Just One Project on behalf of the winner.

About the submissions

Bandwidth replaced a legacy treasury management system that relied on manual data gathering, spreadsheet-based analysis and limited bank connectivity with a custom-built, AI-native treasury platform. Using Atlar's real-time bank connectivity and Claude, the treasury team built its own treasury management system, creating a single view of liquidity across all entities and banking partners while automating cash forecasting, transaction categorization, liquidity analysis, multilateral netting, debt monitoring, covenant tracking and bank fee analysis. The shift from manually collecting and reconciling data across multiple systems to operating on real-time, connected information enabled treasury to spend more time on liquidity management and capital allocation decisions.

Google transformed a highly manual investment process into an automated, AI-enabled workflow built on its existing SWIFT, MT320, banking and ERP infrastructure. Machine-learning models generate daily cash forecasts, calculate investable cash and provide liquidity outlooks, while AI agents continuously collect rates from counterparties, evaluate investment options based on yield, counterparty limits and liquidity requirements, and generate recommendations. An execution agent automates trade placement and ERP entries, reducing reliance on manual bank reconciliation and streamlining investment execution. The result is a more standardized investment process that gives treasury faster visibility into investable cash and market opportunities while minimizing manual effort and delays.

ServiceNow addressed a fundamental data problem that was limiting treasury's ability to scale and take advantage of AI. As the company expanded across more than 50 countries, treasury spent 40 to 60 hours each week manually collecting and reconciling data from disconnected systems, banks and entities. Rather than implementing AI on top of fragmented information, the team first built a centralized treasury data architecture that integrated more than 10 source systems into a single source of truth for cash, investments, forecasts, FX and banking data. It then added real-time dashboards, a treasury chatbot, machine-learning cash forecasting, automated FX hedging across 40+ currency pairs, workflow automation and AI-powered counterparty exposure monitoring. The result was a treasury operation with real-time visibility, automated processes and a connected data foundation that replaced much of the manual data gathering and analysis previously required.
