Firefly Successfully Migrates DdD's Retail Software from Magic to .NET

Firefly announced today that DdD Retail's Magic-based software was automatically migrated to .NET using Firefly's automated migration software, while maintaining the same functionality and appearance of the Magic-based version.
Firefly (http://www.fireflymigration.com), the global leader in migration of Magic-based applications to Microsoft's .NET, today announced that the DdD's retail management software, which is deployed over the cloud across 12 European territories, has been successfully migrated to .NET and will soon replace the previous Magic-based version of the software. DdD thereby joined DataMax Group, Crown Agents, Eldan Car Rental, Israel Aerospace Industries, and others as a Firefly customer.
DdD's back-office has been completely migrated to .NET. The back-office facilitates centralized management of data arriving from DdD points of sale in over 2,500 fashion stores. Among other things, the software includes custom reports, inventory management, customer club management, etc. Prior to the migration, DdD's software was based on uniPaaS - Magic Software Enterprises' latest development framework version.
Thanks to Firefly's automated migration technology, the conversion was completed on a short timetable at a predetermined cost without the need for development freeze or user's retraining. The migrated software is based on the standard .NET development environment. DdD's original development team was preserved and following Firefly's 3-week .NET training course, are now maintaining and developing the software on .NET.
