HOBOKEN, N.J., April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Credit Union Times today announced the first four honorees in its Trailblazers 40 Below program for 2012. Designed to recognize credit union executives under 40 who are working to better the industry's future, the program includes an online mentoring component that helps young professionals and more seasoned executives to share experiences and learn from each other.
"The aging of the credit union community is one of the industry's greatest threats, but one that we can address by recognizing and encouraging our rising young talent," Editor-in-chief Sarah Snell Cooke said. "The passion and excellence of our young professionals and the innovative problem-solving they bring to the table must be developed for the industry's very survival. Credit Union Times developed Trailblazers 40 Below to support that process and highlight the achievements of some wonderful young executives."
Nominations will be taken throughout 2012 and narrowed down to an elite 12 who will be recognized on CUTimes.com and in Credit Union Times.
The first four honorees are:
James Robert Lay, grower of relationships, PTP New Media
Nathan Anderson, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Mountain America Credit Union
David Tuyo, Interim President/CEO, Pen Air Federal Credit Union
