First Planet Fitness Metro Detroit Location Announces Completion of $700,000 Remodeling Process

NORTHVILLE, Mich., Sept. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Planet Fitness, the nation's leading franchisor of low-price/high-value gyms, announced the completion of extensive remodeling of its Northville club, located at 235 E. Main Street, Northville. As the first Metro Detroit area gym to open under the Planet Fitness brand, in 2006, the Northville club has been undergoing renovations and equipment upgrades over the past year. Renovations were performed by Frericks Construction and, once open, the Northville gym will be one of the most state-of-the-art gyms in the area, and will include:

Updated locker rooms and restrooms
Over 20 brand new large screen TVs in cardio room

The 16,000 square-foot Planet Fitness is located on Main Street, in Northville, and is open 24-hours, five days a week, and 7am to 7pm on weekends. The club features an extensive selection of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, arc trainers, and stationary bikes. Every cardio machine is connected to an entertainment system consisting of multiple widescreen HD televisions. Planet Fitness also offers a full complement of upper and lower body strength machines, a 30-minute PF Express circuit, and a new 12-minute ab circuit. The Northville club includes a Relaxation Zone, which features multi-level tanning, Red Light therapy booths, HydroMassage® beds and massage chairs. In addition, free fitness instruction is included with all memberships. A certified fitness trainer is on staff weekdays to assist members with workout programs at no additional charge.
