FirstService Residential-managed Bulle Rock Community Takes Home 2026 Community Association of the Year Award from CAI-Chesapeake

HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- FirstService Residential, North America's leading residential community management company, received a prestigious honor from the Community Associations Institute's Chesapeake chapter at its annual expo and symposium on October 5. The award was presented to the Bulle Rock Community Association, a community managed by FirstService in Havre De Grace, Maryland.

The 2026 Community Association of the Year award recognizes the work it takes to build and sustain a successful community. The board is a strong steward of governance and compliance, financial administration and reserve planning, facility and asset management, resident engagement, volunteerism, and involvement in CAI. The community brings those accomplishments to life. Bulle Rock has more than 1,600 homes and over 40 resident-led clubs and groups, with opportunities to connect across generations and interests. The community's volunteer committees help shape community life, while residents give their time to charitable outreach, neighborhood projects, and traditions such as Flags for Military Heroes.

"This honor reflects what's possible when engaged residents, committed community leaders, and an experienced management team work together with a shared vision," said Trent Harrison, President, MidAtlantic, FirstService Residential. "The Bulle Rock management team continues to set the standard for community excellence."

"This recognition is a tremendous honor for Bulle Rock and validates the collective commitment of our board, our volunteer committees, and our residents," said Jim Kurtz, President of the Bulle Rock Community Association Board of Directors. "Partnering with the GM, Chris Petrik, and the dedicated on-site FirstService Residential team has provided our community with the operational rigor, financial discipline, and leadership needed to set the standard across Maryland. We are extremely proud of this shared milestone."
