BOSTON, Jan. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Fish & Richardson has elevated 21 attorneys to principal at the firm, effective January 1, 2018. The new principals in the firm's Litigation Group are: Erin Alper and Jacqueline Tio (Atlanta); Elizabeth Brenckman (New York); Jane Du (Dallas); Joanna Fuller (San Diego); Brian Livedalen (Washington, D.C.); Warren Mabey, Jr. (Delaware); and Neil Warren (Silicon Valley). The new principals in the Patent Group are: Dr. Andrea Dorigo (Munich); Dr. Heather Flanagan (Austin); Dr. Angela Follett, Chris Hoff, and Jennifer Huang (Twin Cities); David Holt, Nick Jepsen, Chris Ma, and Andrew Patrick (Washington, D.C.); Dr. Sushil Iyer, formerly Sushil Shrinivasan, (Dallas); Dr. Tiffany Reiter (Boston); and Michael Portnov and Michael Shepherd (Silicon Valley).

Erin Alper continues to focus her practice on patent litigation. Her practice covers a range of technologies in venues across the country, including the International Trade Commission (ITC) and inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). She received her J.D., with honors, Order of the Coif, from Emory University School of Law in 2009 and her B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Southern California in 2006.

Elizabeth Brenckman continues to focus her practice on trademark and copyright litigation and enforcement matters. She represents clients of all sizes in a wide range of industries in federal district and appellate courts across the country, as well as the ITC and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2008 and her B.S. in finance, summa cum laude, from St. Cloud State University in 2004.

Dr. Andrea Dorigo has experience in both patent-related and transactional aspects of IP and extensive experience in licensing agreements. He received his J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law in 2001 and his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1987.

Jane Du practices all aspects of IP litigation with a focus on patent and trademark enforcement actions in federal district court. She has worked on numerous high-profile competitor cases in a broad range of technological areas. She received her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2009 and her B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas in 2006.

Dr. Heather Flanagan continues to focus her practice on U.S. and foreign patent prosecution and counseling, opinion work, due diligence studies, and development and management of patent portfolios in chemistry and related fields. She received her J.D. from the University of Texas Law School, her M.B.A. from the University of Florida, her Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Harvard University, and her B.S. in chemistry from University of Georgia.

Dr. Angela Follett works with a range of clients, from start-up and emerging companies to academic and research institutions in the areas of life sciences, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals with a practice focusing on patent prosecution, portfolio development advice, and strategic patent counseling. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas in 2011, her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2006, and her B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in chemistry and biochemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2001.

Joanna Fuller represents pharmaceutical and high-tech clients in patent litigation nationwide in cases encompassing a wide range of technology.
