Flood Relief Food Drive Success - Comanche Nation Entertainment

LAWTON, Okla., July 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Comanche Nation tribe puts ideals into action every day. The tribe believes businesses have a deep responsibility to the communities in which they reside. To live this belief, the Oklahoma casinos run by Comanche Nation Entertainment, formerly Comanche Nation Casinos, organize charity and community help programs on an ongoing basis. Recently completed was the "Comanche Food for Thought Canned Food Drive," which ran from June 4, 2015 to June 30, 2015.

The food drive organized by Comanche Nation Entertainment Oklahoma casinos delivered 66,591 cans of food to victims of recent floods.

The food drive was organized to help victims of the Oklahoma floods that claimed lives, damaged property and left many without housing in late May and early June of 2015. Comanche Nation Entertainment, along with government agencies and other businesses, wasted no time in making arrangements to help as they could. While Comanche Spur Casino closed temporarily for cleanup, Comanche Nation Casino and Comanche Red River Hotel Casino rallied their customers through social media and website announcements encouraging the donation of canned goods for flood victims. As a thank you, the casinos offered free Comanche Credit in exchange for canned food. The support was incredible and resulted in the collection of 66,591 cans of food which were distributed to Oklahomans impacted by flooding.

Upcoming Charity-Minded Promotions

With the food drive finished, the Comanche casinos and their loyal patrons are gearing up for the next charity push, the annual school supply drive called the "Back to School Bash." Customers who donate much-needed school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, pens, art supplies, book covers, etc. will receive free Comanche Credit for their donation. The amount of credit depends on the amount of supplies donated.
