Florida Animal Friend Rises to #15 Plate in the State

TAMPA, Fla., March 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Animal Friend, an organization founded in 2005 to help end pet overpopulation, announced today that sales of their license plate jumped from the #24 ranked specialty plate to the #15 specialty plate in the state. As license plate sales are the chief fundraising arm of the organization, this news represents a huge success in the fight against animal suffering and overpopulation in the state of Florida. Funds collected through Florida Animal Friend plate sales are dispensed annually through a number of grants to organizations that offer free or low-cost spay and neuter services across the state. At up to $25,000 per organization, these funds allow Florida Animal Friend to support upwards of 20 organizations throughout the state each year.

Possible reasons for the rise in sales could be due to a redesign of the plate and corresponding marketing campaign executed in partnership with Frankel Media Group, a Gainesville-based marketing firm. The previously illustrated plate was replaced with realistic photography of a cat and dog to increase the sense of emotional connection to the image. Florida Animal Friend would like to thank everyone that made this increase in popularity possible.

"Over the past decade, we've provided more than $5,500,000 in funds to assist spay and neuter programs throughout the state, and this year is no different," said Kostroski. "We offer grant opportunities of up to $25,000 per organization, and the deadline to apply is April 1st of this year."
