Flycraft USA Tests Stealth Boat In The Amazon Jungle
SALT LAKE CITY, June 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Flycraft USA, an e-commence retailer located in Salt Lake City, travelled to the Amazon to test their primary product, the Stealth Boat. Flycraft USA's Ben Scribner, Founder, and Brandon Collett, Sales Manager, flew to the Guyana with the 98-pound inflatable raft to gauge the product's overall performance and see if they could catch an arapaima. Arapaimas are the largest freshwater, air-breathing fish in the world, getting up to 600 pounds and over 9 feet long.
The Stealth Boat
Originally Kickstarter-backed in 2015, Flycraft USA has found its place as a leader in the fishing boat market. Arapaima In The Amazon
Traveling with one Stealth Boat and their hired guide company, King William Adventures, Ben and Brandon travelled down the Guyana to find arapaima. Since arapaima live in lagoons off the river, teams must physically lift and carry boats from the Amazon River, through the jungle, to an arapaima's lagoon.
"Floating out among the arapaima was wild," said Brandon Collett. "It's like a grenade going off under you. When you feel one of those creatures on your line, it's mind boggling thinking about landing it."
While the team hooked up several times with this wild beast, landing one proved to be a different story. While they did not land an arapaima, they did catch piranha and peacock bass, among many species that have yet to be identified. The Stealth Boat navigated the Amazonian waters well, and due to its light weight, the hired guide company purchased several of the boats to access hard to reach lagoons.
