Former Longtime Advanced Bionics CEO, Jeff Greiner, Talks New Business, Receives SEMDA Spotlight

VALENCIA, Calif., April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- At its annual conference in Atlanta on March 31 and April 1, 2015, the Southeastern Medical Device Association ("SEMDA"), a nonprofit trade organization that supports medical device innovation in the southeast, announced Valencia Technologies Corporation ("Valencia") as a recipient of its 2015 Spotlight Award.

Generally presented to one medical device company, SEMDA awarded two device companies distinguished by development stage. Valencia Technologies, a medical technology company based in Valencia, California received the 2015 Spotlight Award in late stage development.

Factors considered include extraordinary growth and hiring trend; establishment of new divisions or facilities; support of SEMDA and other device-focused organizations through sponsorship, membership or volunteer work, and being recognized as a thought leader, innovator or mentor in the device industry.

The annual conference brings together investors, regulators, vendors, medical device companies, and thought leaders. Among those in attendance were Charlie Brock, CEO and President of Launch Tennessee; William Hunter, MD, CEO of Cardiome; and Jay Yadav, M.D., founder and former CEO of CardioMEMS.

Jeff Greiner, Valencia's founder and CEO, who presented at the pitch rounds and the large stage, shared with attendees progress and business plans of the four year old company.
