Fortify Software Reports Strongest First Quarter in Company History

The company reported an almost 30 percent increase in bookings in Q1, compared to the same period last year. In addition to significant follow on orders from existing customers, Fortify's strongest quarter is highlighted by 35 new customer wins, a major technology breakthrough, and the expansion of Fortify's Federal and international leadership teams.

Major Breakthrough in Effective Software Security Assurance

In Q1 2010, Fortify Software announced Hybrid 2.0, a breakthrough improvement in Fortify's industry-leading Software Security Assurance solution. Developed in collaboration with HP, Hybrid 2.0 represents a major leap forward in effective security testing, providing users with improved visibility into security risks, increased test accuracy and the ability to produce more secure web applications in record time. Using powerful new correlation techniques, Hybrid 2.0 connects penetration test results directly to source code analysis results, revealing hidden vulnerability relationships and exposing their root cause within the application source code.

Other major business highlights include:

• Hired new Public Sector CTO, Rob Roy, to guide Fortify's federal standards, policy and partnerships specific to systems integrators. Mr. Roy comes to Fortify with many years of experience successfully working with Federal agencies and system integrators.
