
Golden Triangle BID Invites Public to Free Events in the Middle of DC's Downtown
WASHINGTON, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Free outdoor events return in the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (BID) at Farragut Square this fall. Starting Sept. 8, District residents, workers, and visitors are invited to attend free open-air exercise classes on Tuesday evenings and lunchtime entertainment every Wednesday through Oct. 14.
This fall season will kick off the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 8, when you can attend a special outdoor barre class by The Washington Ballet. Each following Tuesday evening through Oct. 13, you can participate in free yoga classes with a certified instructor from CorePower Yoga. On Wednesdays, Sept. 9 – Oct. 14, brighten your day with lunchtime entertainment and listen to live music from artists like Wytold & Tolk, Cariel Coates, and the Mark H Taiko Connection; play lawn games; browse pre-owned books with Carpe Librum; and meet adoptable pets with the Brandywine Valley SPCA.

The Golden Triangle BID's fall events are open to the public and will run Sept. 8 through Oct. 14 in Farragut Square.
Fall Events:
- TriFit: Free post-work fitness classes led by a certified instructor.
- When: Tuesdays, Sept. 8 through Oct. 13, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
- Sept. 8: Barre class with The Washington Ballet
- Sept. 15 – Oct. 13: Yoga with CorePower Yoga

- When: Tuesdays, Sept. 8 through Oct. 13, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
- Farragut Fun Days: Lunchtime live music, lawn games, used book sales, and pet adoptions.

Last year, the BID enhanced Farragut Square with new park amenities, adding pink shade umbrellas and comfortable chairs.
