WHAT: In response to the number of home foreclosures in the Tucson area, the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco and the Pima County Foreclosure Prevention Coalition will host a free foreclosure prevention workshop to assist homeowners facing home foreclosure. The free workshop is open to the public and will include a panel discussion on how to identify mortgage scams, the tax impact of short sales, and others areas such as:
- Understanding the foreclosure process
- Crisis budgeting
- Role of the housing counselor
- Alternative resolutions
Housing counselors and lender/servicers will be available to provide one-on-one consultations to homeowners. Attendees are encouraged to bring loan documents and other relevant financial information.
