Nationwide mortgage lender saw steady loan production and leveraged capital to fund its growth objectives

BOCA RATON, Fla., March 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Despite a challenging and elevated interest rate environment last year, Freedom Mortgage, one of the largest full-service independent mortgage companies, and a top Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Federal Housing Administration (FHA) lender in the U.S., helped more than 316,000 borrowers secure financing for their most important asset—their homes.

Freedom Mortgage, a top mortgage loan originator, provides low down payment mortgages to first-time homebuyers and homeowners nationwide, including thousands of U.S. veterans, and reached $122 billion in production volume in 2024. The company is also a top mortgage servicer and serviced the mortgages of more than 2.5 million homeowners, representing over $625 billion in loans. Holiday Toy Drive provides an opportunity for Freedom Mortgage employees to make monetary or physical toy donations for underserved youth to brighten the spirits of families during the holiday season. Last December, employees and Middleman raised $60,000 in support of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), The Salvation Army, and the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
Rucksacks to Backpacks inspires employees to provide backpacks and school supplies to the children of active-duty military, National Guard members, and Reservists. In celebration of the twelfth year of the program in 2024, Freedom Mortgage's employees and friends joined Middleman to raise $100,000 for several United Service Organizations (USO) Centers across the country just before the start of the new school year. Additionally, employees in a couple of locations donated over 50 backpacks and school supplies.
Feeding America^® "Freedom From Hunger" initiative empowers employees to help people facing hunger in their communities. Freedom Mortgage employees, vendors, and Middleman, raised $90,000 to support individuals facing food insecurity.
Operation Heartfelt Connection (formerly Project Gratitude) encourages Freedom Mortgage employees to submit handwritten and video messages of thanks to active-duty service members. Last year, employees recorded nearly 300 messages of thanks which were shared with active-duty service members through USO Centers across the globe.
