NEW YORK, Nov. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- For one night only – on Friday, December 13, 2013 – New Yorkers and visitors to the Big Apple will have an opportunity to combine their love of the circus with a good deed. 100% of all tickets purchased for The Big Apple Circus' 6:30 p.m. show will benefit Citymeals-on-Wheels and provide thousands of frail, homebound elderly New Yorkers with a lifeline of nutritious home-delivered meals and companionship.

With no seat more than 50-feet from ringside, this season's Big Apple Circus show, Luminocity, will dazzle audience members with the "high-spirits and pulse-racing thrills of the World's Greatest Circus Artists." Performances by high-flying trapeze artists, clowns, jugglers, an irrepressible flimflam man, acrobats, a cavalcade of magnificent steeds and wire-walkers make up the fun-filled, action-packed two-hour event.

The only way to purchase a ticket for this special charity performance is through the Citymeals website www.citymeals.org/bigapple or by calling Citymeals' Special Events Department at 212-687-1290. Individual and group tickets can be purchased until the show is sold out. Citymeals will assign the best seats available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to ticket level. Tickets range from $35 to $175 or with the promo code BAC2013, purchasers can buy 4 tickets at the $75 level for $200 and 4 tickets at the $95 level for $250.  Purchasers can only get this discount by calling 212-687-1290.

The event is at Damrosch Park on Lincoln Center Plaza: 30 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY 10023. The VIP tent opens at 5:00 p.m. and the circus begins at 6:30 p.m.
