Friends of the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women Presents Weili Dai with the CEDAW Women's Human Rights Award for Technology

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Marvell (Nasdaq: MRVL) today announced that Weili Dai, co-founder of the company, was given the "Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) Women's Human Rights Award for Technology" by the Friends of the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women. The award, which honors Dai's role in leveraging technology to improve the lives of and opportunities for women in San Francisco, was presented by Marily Mondejar, President of the Friends of the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women Board of Directors, and Julie Soo, President of the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women, at a ceremony held today in San Francisco's Merchants Exchange Building.

Ms. Dai serves as co-chair of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Women and the Economy Summit steering committee and is a member of the Wall Street Journal's Women in the Economy Executive Task Force.  For her contributions to technology and society, Newsweek named Ms. Dai one of the "150 Women Who Shake the World." In addition, Forbes Magazine lists Ms. Dai as one of the "World's 100 Most Powerful Women."
