Fuddruckers® Expands Its Presence In Puerto Rico; Just Opened Mayaguez Area Restaurant Is Their Fifth In The Caribbean Territory

MAYAGUEZ, Puerto Rico, June 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Fuddruckers® is inviting residents of the Mayaguez municipality of Puerto Rico to savor el sabor of the "World's Greatest Hamburgers®" with a new location that debuted yesterday at 114 km .03 Bo. Guanajibo in the Plaza Sultana Shopping Center.  The 3,546-square-foot restaurant with seating for 102 guests brings the 30-year-old fast casual chain's Caribbean footprint to five stores.  It is estimated that the restaurant will create 60 new jobs.

The site features an exterior incorporating natural stone plus solid surfaces in a signature red.  As with new restaurants on the mainland, the interior showcases Fuddruckers' recently introduced interior scheme that pays homage to the Texas-born brand's signature roadhouse look, while streamlining the popular design for today's more sophisticated tastes.

According to Peter Tropoli, Chief Operating Officer, "We've been embraced by our neighbors in Puerto Rico and are excited to introduce our always fresh and never frozen 100% USDA premium-cut beef burgers to an underserved part of the island."

Fuddruckers' hallmarks include delicious, hand breaded onion rings and sought after, sesame-topped buns that are baked from scratch on-site throughout the day to achieve the perfect combination of crisp crust and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
