Stores across Canada opening at 6:00 a.m.; 8:00 a.m. in Quebec

BURNABY, BC, Nov. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - Holiday shopping has started and consumers are eagerly anticipating the first major sales event of the season - Black Friday. To celebrate what has cemented itself as a popular annual sales event in Canada, for the first time in company history, Future Shop is opening all store locations (except in Quebec) at 6:00 a.m. local time on Black Friday - Friday, November 29. Stores in Quebec are opening at 8:00 a.m. due to local laws.

Beyond Black Friday: VIP Thursday sale; Cyber Monday starts Sunday evening
Future Shop's Black Friday Sale lasts all weekend with deals carrying over to Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday afternoon between 8:15 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. EST, Futureshop.ca closes to prepare for Cyber Monday. The site reopens at 9:45 p.m. EST for 15 minutes for browsing, disclosing all Cyber Monday deals. Future Shop's fourth annual Cyber Monday sale goes live at 10:00 p.m. EST, lasting through the night and all-day Monday, December 1.

Additionally, on Thursday, November 28, all Future Shop stores are hosting our fourth annual "VIP Sale," a day of in-store only deals with prices so hot they cannot be printed.
