Hand-forged with a striking hammertone finish, the one-of-a-kind MR-G timepiece merges traditional Japanese artistry with modern durability
DOVER, N.J., Sept. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Casio America, Inc. is excited to introduce the launch of the MRGB5000 "Tsuiki" Limited Edition model. Adding to the prestige MR-G collection, this one-of-a-kind timepiece celebrates the centuries-old art of Japanese metal craftsmanship, blending traditional artisanal techniques with state-of-the-art technology to deliver a watch that is as timeless as it is unbreakable.
Since its debut in 1996, the MR-G collection has represented the pinnacle of G-SHOCK's watchmaking expertise, redefining toughness with elevated design and premium materials. The new MRGB5000HT continues this legacy, standing out as a true master class in metal artistry.
The bezel and bracelet of the MRGB5000HT are individually hand-forged by master artisan Kazuya Watanabe using the tsuiki technique, a traditional Japanese hammering method that has been passed down through generations. Each strike of the hammer produces unique patterns, resulting in no two timepieces being exactly alike.
Beyond its striking aesthetics, the MRGB5000HT is crafted with DAT55G, a titanium alloy three times harder than pure titanium, offering exceptional durability. A black diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating provides enhanced scratch and abrasion resistance as well as offering a sophisticated black finish enhancing both its visual appearance and technical specifications. Adding to the overall look of the timepiece, a special design featuring traditional aesthetics with rose gold accents are applied to various components of the watch.
The case design inherits the iconic form of the very first G-SHOCK, reimagined with modern refinement. Constructed from 25 individual components, each meticulously polished, the watch features G-SHOCK's Multi-Guard Structure with built-in buffers for advanced shock resistance. To mark the limited-edition quantity of the watch, with only 500 pieces worldwide, "2025 LIMITED" is inscribed on the screw lock case back and packaged in a beautiful black and rose gold box.
The MRGB5000HT "Tsuiki" Limited Edition exemplifies G-SHOCK's commitment to merging Japanese artistry with cutting-edge durability, solidifying its place as a modern icon for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
