Game Closure Announces $12 Million in Series A Financing Led by Highland Capital Partners

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Game Closure today announced a Series A financing round of $12 million to fund its advanced HTML5-based cross-platform game technology. The round was led by Highland Capital Partners, with Greylock, Benchmark, General Catalyst, and Charles River Ventures also participating.  In conjunction with the financing, Highland's Andy Miller has joined the company's board of directors.

Previously, game developers had to develop titles on a single operating system, then subsequently port the source code to other platforms. Such a task would be expensive, time-consuming and unwieldy. Game Closure solves this problem by offering its highly advanced JavaScript game SDK to game developers.
