GeneNews announces issuance of second foundational U.S. patent for core Sentinel Principle(R) technology

TORONTO, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - GeneNews Limited (TSX: GEN), a company focused on developing blood-based biomarker tests for the early detection of diseases and personalized health management, today announced that it has been granted a second U.S. patent for its core platform technology, the Sentinel Principle(R). U.S. Patent # 7,662,558, entitled "Method of profiling gene expression in a human subject." The patent covers the application of the Sentinel Principle(R) in any health management context, including diagnosis, staging of disease, drug testing, monitoring response to treatment and biomarker screening.
