General Bryan P. Fenton, retired Former Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, Joins Enigma Aerospace Advisory Board

The 13th Commander of USSOCOM, former JSOC commander, and career Special Forces officer brings nearly four decades of special operations and joint warfighting leadership to Enigma's mission of delivering autonomous logistics for contested environments

BURLINGTON, Mass., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Enigma Aerospace today announced that General (ret.) Bryan P. Fenton, U.S. Army, has joined the company's Advisory Board. General Fenton most recently served as the 13th Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), where he led all U.S. special operations forces — 70,000 Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine personnel — with an annual budget of $14 billion, before retiring in October 2025 after 38 years of service.

A career Special Forces (Green Beret) officer, General Fenton commanded at every level of special operations. Prior to leading USSOCOM, he served as Commander, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), and as Senior Military Assistant to two U.S. Secretaries of Defense. His earlier assignments include Deputy Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and Commander of Special Operations Command Pacific, with operational deployments spanning Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, the Philippines, and more than five years in the Indo-Pacific — operational theaters where resilient, autonomous logistics will decide future fights.

Few leaders have seen more directly what happens when supply lines are contested. As USSOCOM Commander, General Fenton championed the rapid adoption of autonomous systems, robotics, and AI-enabled capabilities for the joint force. As Deputy Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), he confronted the tyranny of distance that defines logistics in the Pacific. At Enigma, GEN Fenton will advise the company's leadership on operational requirements, fielding pathways, and scaling autonomous logistics capabilities for U.S. and allied partner forces.
