The acquisition closed November 28, 2018.
Royal Car Care (RCC), based in Hanford, California, operates two automotive service centers with onsite touchless car washes in addition to a standalone quick lube shop in Kings County. The company provides a variety of services, such as oil changes and fuel injection cleaning, and has a discount program for frequent customers.
Headquartered in Pleasanton, California, Oil Changers has developed an automotive fast oil change concept based on convenience, quality and service. Founded in 1986, it now boasts of 34 facilities in the San Francisco, San Diego and Fresno regions. The company also has a focus on sustainability, as it works with local businesses to recycle lubricants and all 34 locations are state certified collection centers where used oil and filters are accepted at no charge for proper disposal.
Brick Investment Partners acquired Oil Changers in February of 2018 as a portfolio company. Brick seeks to invest in small and middle market private businesses. Potential situations include when corporate owners divest non-core businesses; existing owners/management are looking for liquidity, financial or strategic support; and family or retiring owners seek exit strategies
Generational Equity Senior Managing Director Stephen Crisham's team, led by Senior M&A Advisor James Hermann with support from Managing Director Lori Galloway, carried the deal to a successful close. Senior Managing Director Tom Braun established the initial relationship with RCC.
